Summon rate calculator banner.png

"Which banner should I chase LRs on?"

"What are my chances to pull the main featured unit with 300 Dragon Stones?"

"Is it worth it to summon on this banner, or should I save for the next one?"

If these questions sound familiar, then perhaps this calculator might help you out. All you need to do is add some info about the banner you're interested in, and then the calculator will immediately tell you what are the chances of pulling exactly what you're looking for. By selecting "Normal banner", "Mono Type banner" or "Double-rate banner", the rates will be added automatically.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • On Guaranteed SSR banners (which would be most of them nowadays), Unfeatured SSRs will have a higher summon rate than usual, since the chance of them appearing in the last slot of a Multi-Summon is always: 100% - Featured SSRs rate
  • On Guaranteed Featured SSR banners, Featured SSRs will have a 100% chance to appear in the last slot of a Multi-Summon.
  • The higher the number of Summons, the higher the chances.
  • If you're not sure where to get the details for a certain banner, you have three options:
    • The banner's Wiki page (click here for the full list of banners), which usually includes the total number of SSRs (and LRs, if any). Banners that are live will also be displayed on the homepage.
    • The Summon list on dbz.space, another great resource for all players.
    • And last but not least, the game itself, by tapping the "Character Summon Rates" button.

If you find this calculator helpful, feel free to let us know in the comments!

  • Note: Multi-Summons are always considered to consist of 10 cards, please switch to "Single Summon" in case the banner you're interested in is an exception.

SummonScreens.png

This is a list of the possible Summons Screens that can be displayed when performing Summons. They do not affect the results in any way - quite the opposite, it's the result of the Summon that affects the animation - but some of these animations are able to reveal whether you pulled at least one

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or DF logo.png character or not.

Note: As of May 24th, 2018, unless otherwise specified, all Multi-Summons performed with Dragon Stones now guarantee an SSR icon.png character in the 10th slot.

1st Update: As of June 25th, 2018, the Japanese version of the game has different animations as a result of the 3.13.0 update. The Global version received the new animations on August 23rd, 2018.

2nd Update: As of October 8th, 2019, the Japanese version of the game has new animations as a result of the 4.6.0 update. The Global version received the new animations on December 5th, 2019.

Clarification: Both updates' changes are currently active, however the old section's animations are currently unobtainable and only displayed for knowledge purposes.

Animation Description
Roshi Summon Screen.png "Puff-Puff" is a rare Summon animation that functions similarly to "The Panties Off a Hot Babe!!!", and it guarantees an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character.
SummonBG1.png This background is an updated version of the Summon background.
SummonBG2.png A newly released

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or DF logo.png character is guaranteed if the sky is of a blue-green color with a portal created from Goku Black's Scythe of Sorrow.
Android 17 & 18 Summon Animation.png "Krillin + Android #18" indicates either an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a Featured SSR icon.png character.
"Android #17 + Android #18" can mean the same thing, but it could also mean 3 or more SSR icon.png characters.

Unlike previous combinations, these will work even if they appear alongside other characters.

Trunks Mai Animation.png An

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character is guaranteed whenever Future Trunks shows up while carrying Future Mai.
Whis Summon Animation.gif If Beerus and/or Whis are flying alongside Goku before the Kamehameha blast, there is a chance for Whis to perform his Temporal Do-Over technique (if both Beerus & Whis are present, this animation is guaranteed), which reverses the animation to before the blast is fired and then plays Vegito Blue's animation afterwards, which in this case guarantees a newly released

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or DF logo.png character.
Gold Summon Animation.gif A Potara Fusion animation is guaranteed if the text during a Summon is golden ("Give me that!", "Quick!"), even if Vegeta isn't flying alongside Goku.
Zeno Animation.png Zeno can appear on the top of the screen after pulling the text. If he does, it will guarantee a newly released

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or DF logo.png character.
Countdown Summon Animation.gif Instead of the usual Super Saiyan animations, there is a chance for the arts of the Goku cards released during anniversaries to appear in their place. They're always followed by the Super Saiyan God animation, which guarantees at least 3 SSR icon.png characters.
SSB Goku animation.png There is an animation which sees Goku ascending to Super Saiyan Blue after Super Saiyan 3, rather than Super Saiyan God. This animation is currently unavailable and can be found only in the game files.
Kamehameha Linger Animation.gif An

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character is guaranteed if the Kamehameha wave lingers for a bit longer before it hits the target.
Animation Description
ByeGuys.gif "Bye, Guys" is a rare Summon animation which appears after shattering the screen, and it guarantees an SSR icon.png character. Note: with the new Summon animations update, SR icon.png characters that can be Dokkan Awakened to

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

are now considered to have a rarity of "SSR icon.png or higher".
OverFreeza.png "It's Over!!!! Freeza!!!" is an old animation that used to guarantee an SR icon.png character. The animation was removed but was later brought back when the game was updated to version 3.10, and it now guarantees an SSR icon.png character.
Summon Unkown.png "Thank You Dragon Balls!" is a Summon animation which is very similar to the ones above. It guarantees an SSR icon.png character.
Oolong summon animation.png "The Panties Off a Hot Babe!!!" is a very rare Summon animation that can appear after "Bye, Guys" or any of the other animations listed above, by shattering the screen a second time. It guarantees an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character.
Summon Screen four characters.png Before the Kamehameha blast, a number of different Z-Fighters may fly alongside Goku. If four different characters show up, at least one SSR icon.png character is guaranteed. If three different characters show up, at least one SR icon.png character is guaranteed.
Screenshot 20180625-004031.png The combination "(Goku) + Tien + Chiaotzu + Yamcha" indicates either an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a Featured SSR icon.png character.

The following combinations can mean the same thing, but they could also mean 3 or more SSR icon.png characters:
(Goku) + Goten + Trunks (Kid)
(Goku) + Gohan + Piccolo
(Goku) + Tien + Chiaotzu
(Goku) + Krillin

Summon Screen Hercule Buu.jpg An

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character is guaranteed whenever Majin Buu shows up while carrying Hercule on his back.
Screenshot 20180625-004333.png On some occasions, it's possible that Goku will not ascend to Super Saiyan. Unless it's a Multi-Summon, the pull will likely be an R icon.png with rare occasions of a possible SR icon.png. There is, however, a rare chance for a shattered screen, producing an SSR icon.png instead.
If Goku says "This is where it ends!" ("Kore de owari da!" in the Japanese version) instead of "Kamehame-ha!", you are guaranteed to summon a Featured SSR icon.png character or an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

. "It's do or die!", on the other hand, guarantees only an SR icon.png (or higher) character.
20180625 175734.png Occasionally, the text during a Summon will have a rainbow color rather than the default yellow. Rainbow text means a higher possibility of a featured unit being in the Summon. If Goku does not ascend and the text is rainbow, it is a guaranteed shattered screen.
Screenshot 20180625-004038.png If Goku ascends only to Super Saiyan during a Summon, at least one SR icon.png character is guaranteed. However, there is a rare chance to result in a shattered screen or an SSR icon.png.
Screenshot 20180625-004436.png Goku may also ascend to Super Saiyan 2. This animation guarantees at least one SR icon.png, and it has a higher chance than SS1 to result in an SSR icon.png.
New SS3 animation.png If Goku ascends to Super Saiyan 3 during a Summon, it guarantees an SSR icon.png character.
SSG Summon.png If Goku ascends past Super Saiyan 3, he will turn into Super Saiyan God. This animation guarantees at least 3 SSR icon.png characters in a Multi-Summon.
SV summon animation.gif If Vegeta is flying alongside Goku before the Kamehameha blast, they'll have a chance to fuse into either Super Vegito or Vegito Blue. Super Vegito indicates that you're going to get either an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character.
If Vegeta says "You are number one!" ("Omae ga nanba wan da!" in the Japanese version), a Potara Fusion animation is guaranteed.
VB summon animation.gif Vegito Blue guarantees an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

character.
Beeping Scouter.png A beeping scouter indicates the presence of an SSR icon.png character, however it won't always occur with all SSR icon.png characters.
Summon card change.gif The following silhouettes of R icon.png characters have a chance of being replaced by an

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

or a DF logo.png character:

Silhouettes.png

LR GokuBlack new summon screen.png When summoning a character that can be Dokkan Awakened to

latest?cb=20190327122338&format=original Transparent thumb.png

, the LR icon will appear over the card. Once the Summon is over, the card will be highlighted GokuBlack summon highlight.png and the following text will appear:

Legendary character coming.png

*In Friend Summons, due to LRs being considered of higher rarity even in their base form (see "Bye, Guys" description), any animation that guarantees an SSR might result in an SR that Dokkan Awakens into an LR.
